Dr. Kai-Fu Lee is the Chairman and CEO of Sinovation Ventures, a leading venture capital firm that manages US$1.7 billion in dual currency investment funds. Prior to founding Sinovation in 2009, Dr. Lee was the President of Google China and held executive positions at Microsoft, SGI, and Apple. An elite leader in the field of AI for over 30 years, Dr. Lee founded Microsoft Research China and has authored 10 U.S. patents and more than 100 journal and conference papers. Dr. Lee earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Columbia University and his Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University, as well as Honorary Doctorate Degrees from both Carnegie Mellon and the City University of Hong Kong.
