Where Bitcoin goes from here

May 29, 2025

Bitcoin Recently Reached ATH, What's Next?

Metatrend #1: Increasing Abundance | Metatrend #5: Digital Currencies, Crypto & DeFi

What it is

I’m all in on BTC. Bitcoin smashed its all-time high record of $111K last week. El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele revealed the country’s record-breaking 132% or $368M gain over its initial investment in BTC. The trend is clear: BTC is here to stay, and that couldn’t be more accurate, as companies worldwide are integrating BTC into their treasury strategies.

So, where do we go from here? Some facts: BTC's market cap stands at ~$2.12T, higher than the market cap of Alphabet/Google. For the first time, Americans hold more Bitcoin than gold, and experts predict BTC could explode to $200K-300K within the next cycle.

(Note: this is not financial advice.)

Why it matters (and why I'm all in)

I believe BTC will *only* go up from here. Here’s my logic – I’d love your feedback.

1. BTC has never been hacked, it has stood the test of time.

2. Limited Availability: There will only be 21 million ever issued – unlike gold which increases its supply every year by 2,500 to 3,000 tonnes due to gold mining. On average, only ~4 million BTC are actively traded or moved every year, representing 19% of the circulating supply of 19.87 million BTC.

3. Demand: As of 2024, there were approximately 58 million individuals whose net worth exceeds $1M. If each of these people wanted to own “some BTC,” that means on average they could only purchase 0.069 BTC.

4. Financial Security: BTC has become a proof of financial security in a longevity economy. As people live to 100+ years old, they need assets that retain generational value.
